Eighth week of development


Good Day!
The eighth week has official come around and we've been going at it. We've got 2 weeks left, 1 more development week and then to finish one last polishing week!

Developer Updates
We've finetuned a bit of the player values to make the game feel more playable! Also the ball gets hit faster now :)

Freeze! Visualised
The Ice event now has a mesh linked to it! For now the ice mesh abruptly appears and disappears, which is subject to change of course.

Pillars Popping!
We've changed the pillars just a tiny bit. You can now see them scattered throughout the arena and they don't  just pop up all of sudden.
Now an animation plays instead :)

The reverse animation is still bugged right now but will get fixed next dev log.

Art Updates

We have scattered the small props from last week around the foreground of the arena to try a layout for environment. It shows less empty and more alive now, but It will get better when the textures and other props are added too.



Start Screen

Blockout for the start screen has been made! We are really trying to get you in the 80s vibe with this. It will be updated further as neccesary.


Ball Update

Because we are going for a 80s but sci-fi vibe, we can not have a normal ball in our game. We blocked out, unwrapped and textured our new model of the ball and we are excited to implement it in the game!



Can't work without music

Also... the first ideas for the music have come up! A small demo has been made and we are currently deciding what direction to go with it! It will be very exciting!
